How To Remove Stubborn Greek Hair

I hate waxing. Each time I do it, it breaks me out. But I hate my unwanted hairs too. I was saying this to my friend from Iran (who has perfect eyebrows) and she said, "Why don't you do it the way we do in my country?" The way they do it is called in English, threading. She didn't have any string with her, and wasn't explaining it well enough for me to understand what in the world a piece of string could do for my moustache and eyebrows. (Oh yeah, let's not forget the one, thick, black chin hair that pops out overnight).
So I went to YouTube and found this video:

I was ecstatic! After playing around with some thread, and then finally having my dear friend show me how she does it, I think I have mastered the Art of Threading. This Greek Girl now is facial-hair-free at all times, and no pesky after-waxing zits replacing the mustache.

I urge everyone to try threading themselves, and let me know how it turns out!

The video makes it look simple. I never have has to pluck more than a couple of hairs a month off my eyebrows. They just don't grow. Is that weird?

Gutsy, No, that is not weird, that is something I am now VERY JEALOUS of :) Mostly I use the threading technique for my mustache hairs (ew...and dont' tell me, you don't have them either? haha)
Thanks for coming by! I found your blog today too and I'll be back :)

Does that really work? I've heard of it before but I figured it would really hurt!

Jaci,
Seriously, it works and is awesome! Ok, if you can't handle the pain of plucking, you won't be able to handle this. But, look at it this way: even if it does hurt, you'll do a hilarious blog post about it! :)

PS. There are lots of tutorials on youtube showing how to DIY. I have two techniques. One involves tying one end of the string to my bathroom light before making the loop....the other is to just make a loop with the string, twist it into the bow tie shape, then start threading.
(Ok, watch youtube videos, you'll get a better idea)

I heard threading is awesome - I don't mind wax though. I told my hubby when we get rich I'm getting permanent hair removal (lol). Goota love the Greek genes!
